Founded in 1986 Celebration Arts is a multi-cultural, multi-discipline performing arts organization located in Sacramento, CA. It is well known for developing raw talent and presenting high quality performances.

The mission of Celebration Arts is to provide training and performance opportunities for community residents in the areas of theater, dance and music, making art and its presentation accessible.

Celebration Dance Company is renowned for a remarkable repertory of original dances encompassing classical modern dance, contemporary, jazz and ethnic styles. The company's forte is the lyrical beauty and strength of its individuals as they bring to life the choreographer's dream.

The award winning Celebration Theatre Company produces six plays each season drawing from an array of works embodying ethnocentric themes.

Celebration Chorale is noted for presenting many original works and arrangements including classical, spiritual, gospel (traditional and contemporary), jazz, and popular music styles.

VOLUNTEER AT CELEBRATION ARTS

Celebration Arts volunteers help us in a variety of ways, from hospitality to administration, operations, and marketing. There are opportunities for you to contribute your talent according to your interests and availability.

To register as a volunteer, email celebrationarts@att.net Volunteer activities fall into three main categories:

• Volunteers can help with special events, fundraising, and other activities on an occasional basis such as opening and closing night receptions, marketing and administrative support activities.

• Resident Volunteers help out at our offices weekdays on a consistent weekly or monthly schedule. They are truly an invaluable resource to the company and receive "insider perks" for their dedicated service.

• Volunteers working as ushers and lobby reception activities are active during the performances, which occur Thursday through Sunday.

• Volunteers working in performance support activities such as stage management and light and sound operation are scheduled as available during a performance schedule.

BENEFITS OF VOLUNTEERING

Volunteers are given complimentary admission to productions. They are invited to an annual "Thank You" reception held in their honor.
